Privacy policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Taste Budz helps groups choose where to eat. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@roundzboxing.com.

Meal polls and votes

When you create a poll, our service stores its title, meal type, selected restaurants, optional location and schedule, and creation time. When you vote, it stores your chosen display name, a device-generated voter identifier, selected restaurant, and vote time. These records let your group view the poll and its results.

Anyone with the poll link or code can access the shared poll, including submitted display names and votes. Do not put sensitive information into a poll or display name, and share links only with people you intend to invite.

Device storage and invitations

Saved poll history, invitation lists, preferences, and a voter identifier are stored on your device or, for web use, in browser storage. Removing a poll from your history removes the local entry only; it does not delete the shared poll or other people's votes.

Contacts access is optional and helps you choose invitees. Taste Budz does not upload your address book or saved invitation list to its server. Invitations are composed through your device's messaging or sharing tools after you choose to send them. Your messaging provider processes messages and recipient details under its own policies.

Location and restaurant search

With permission, Taste Budz uses your device location to search for nearby restaurants. Search coordinates, or a city or ZIP code you enter, are sent through our server to Google Places. You can deny location access and enter a city or ZIP code instead. The app does not request background location access.

Google Maps and other map apps process information under their own policies when you open restaurant directions or source links.

Advertising and privacy choices

Native builds may show a small Google AdMob banner beneath sent history. The app requests non-personalized ads, disables publisher first-party IDs, and does not send its contact list, poll votes, or restaurant-search coordinates as advertising targeting information.

Google's Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device or app identifiers, advertising interactions, crash reports, and performance information. Non-personalized ads can still involve device storage and measurement; they do not mean that no data is collected.

Taste Budz does not request Apple's permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites. Where applicable, Google's consent flow collects your choices before the app initializes advertising or requests a banner. When Google requires an ongoing privacy-options control, Ad privacy choices appears beneath the banner. You can continue using polls if advertising consent is declined or an ad is unavailable.

See Google's privacy policy and Google's advertising information for details about Google's processing and choices.

Hosting, protection, and retention

Our hosting and database providers process poll records and technical connection information to operate and protect the service. Technical information may include IP addresses, request metadata, and operational logs. We use service information to provide polls, maintain reliability, and handle support and privacy requests.

Shared polls remain available separately from your local history. For a request about server-stored poll data, contact support with the poll link or code; do not send your address book. We may need information to verify a request and protect other participants. Provider-held advertising and messaging data is subject to those providers' retention policies.

Your choices and requests

You can revoke contacts or location permissions in device settings, use manual invitation entry, and clear local history or app/browser storage. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Contact support@roundzboxing.com to make a request or raise a concern. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
